Using favicons

Lesson audience: Administrators

Per Wikipedia:

A favicon (short for favorites icon), also known as a shortcut icon, Web site icon, URL icon, or bookmark icon, is a file containing one or more small icons, most commonly 16×16 pixels, associated with a particular Web site or Web page. A web designer can create such an icon and install it into a Web site (or Web page) by several means, and graphical web browsers will then make use of it.

By default, a favicon has already been included in the basic set-up of all version 2 templates. Site Administrators have access to the favicon file and can replace it with a different one if so wished.

The favicon file is located in the root of the Base Folder.

A variety of tutorials are available online if you search on how to create a favicon.
